About Us

Welcome to the Internet Adoption Photolisting by Precious in HIS Sight! This is a photolisting of hundreds of children currently available for international and domestic adoption. Children from over 15 countries are listed by many 80+ different licensed adoption agencies and facilitators. Started in December of 1994, the Precious in HIS Sight photolisting is the oldest and largest (over 26,000 children photolisted) international adoption photolisting on the internet. The photolisting is updated hourly.

Precious in HIS Sight’s Christian heritage and the professional standards for the services we provide form the foundation for Precious In HIS Sight, LLC’s beliefs. The primary focus of Precious in HIS Sight, LLC is to serve the adoption community through connecting prospective adoptive parents with adoptive agencies and ultimately children that are in need of adoption.

We believe:

  • Each individual is a unique child of God and as such we value and respect each individual.
  • We must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and competence in order to earn the trust of the individuals we serve.
  • Organizations, families and children whom we serve deserve our very best efforts in delivering a high quality of service.
  • A healthy family unit is the best environment in which children can learn and develop.
  • We must foster cooperation among people and organizations that share our mission in our efforts to “find a home for every child”.
  • We must be good stewards of funds, physical property, and all other assets entrusted to us.
  • Professional growth and development of employees is essential in order to maintain the expertise necessary to best fulfill our mission.
  • Adoption is an act of parenthood and should be done with permanency in mind.
  • The adoption of a child should serve in the child’s best interest and be free from manipulation and coercion of any kind.
  • We take a firm stance against the trafficking, sale, exploitation, and abduction of children.
  • Children inherit the right to self-determination and self worth upon birth and status, as an orphan, does not alter this right.
  • All eligible orphan children, regardless of race, religion, special need and life circumstance, should be given the opportunity to be a part of a permanent family through adoption.
  • Prospective parents should be given full disclosure of all information concerning the medical, biological, emotional and behavioral history of prospective adoptive children in order to make an informed decision concerning the adoption.

Ethical Adoption Photolistings

At Precious.org we have strict guidelines about our Waiting Child Photolistings. The purpose for these guidelines is to ensure that the precious children who are listed on our site are not being exploited or marketed. These are children, not a product. Photolistings provide a way for adoption agencies and facilitators to post the pictures of children that are waiting for a family through adoption. Ultimately, this can reduce the amount of time that it takes for a child to be united with a family~ which is a very good thing! To protect the children who are posted on our site and the prospective parents who use our site to find their child we have created the following ethical guidelines. The Waiting Child Photolisting Ethical Guidelines:

~All adoption agencies and adoption facilitators must be working towards accreditation under the Hague Convention on International Adoption as required by the Central Adoption Authority in the United States.

~Only children who are legally available for adoption may be posted on Precious.org through our photolisting, text listing, or email listing.

~Children for whom an adoption agreement has been signed must be removed from the photolisting within two weeks. Children who are not currently available for adoption may not be listed as a way to attract prospective parents. Agencies who are posting children that are not currently available for adoption will be removed as a partner agency.

~Adoption agencies may not post any information about the children besides the child's age, sex, homeland, and siblings grouping. An agency/facilitator may signify that the child has a special need, but may not specify what that need is on the internet. This is to protect the privacy of the children. When a prospective parent contacts the agency/facilitator it is at this time that a dialog based on a continuum of information occurs. Prior to prospective parents agreeing to adopt a child they must have been given full disclosure about the social, medical, and emotional history and needs of the child.

~Adoption agencies/facilitators may not under any circumstance post the sonogram picture of an unborn child.

~Children may only be posted from countries in which internet photolisting is allowed. We believe that it is important for good international adoption relationships between countries to remain. Each country's guidelines must be respected. Agencies/facilitators may take advantage of the text and email listings that are offered for countries that do not allow internet photolistings.

~Adoption agencies/facilitators must respond to the prospective parent inquires in a reasonable time frame. The time and hopes of the prospective parent must be respected. The Waiting Child Photolisting may not be used simply as an advertising tool for agencies. Agencies interested in advertising may contact us about our Ad packages.

It is vital that agencies and facilitators use integrity and best practice in the posting of pictures and information of children on Precious.org. Adoption photolistings are an excellent tool for connecting parent and child in the creation of a family. Although there is financial commitment involved and paperwork, ultimately adoption is a matter of the heart of a child and the heart of a family. This is to be held with utmost respect and treated with dignity and honor.
