At this time U.S. Citizen may not adopt children from Madagascar. As the United States ratifies the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption the adoption relationship between the United States and Madagascar may change. At this time the U.S. Embassy based in Antananarivo is working to clarify from the Government of Madagascar what the intercountry adoption program and process will be after full Hague Convention compliance from the United States.
