New Application and Petition Fees Go Into Effect on July 30, 2007

On July 30, 2007 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will be raising their fee’s. The new fee schedule will affect all applications and petitions that are postmarked or otherwise filed on or after July 30, 2007. The new fee schedule was announced last month.
The forms I-600 (Orphan Petition) and 600A(Advanced Processing for Orphan Petition) will be the following:

I-600A: $750 for an adult filing and biometrics
$80 per person living in home over 18 years of age
I-600: $0 is based on an approved I-600A,
$750 for an adult filing and biometric
$80 per person living in home over 18 years of age

If you already have an approved I-600A that is going to expire soon and you have not yet filed your I-600 petition, USCIS is offering one free extension of your I-600A by filing a new one without a fee as long as it is filed before the original expires.

More information on the fee schedule can be found on the USCIS website.
