Russia Open to Adoption
Congratulations to the adoption agencies that have worked to receive accreditation from Russia! As of last week, Russia granted accreditation to several United States based adoption agencies. These agencies may begin submitting dossiers and continuing with adoptions through Russia. This is great news for waiting families that experienced a further delay due to the halt on international adoptions in Russia. This is also great news for the many children who are in need of being removed from institutional care and placed with a loving family of their own!
Adoption agencies, over the course of time, will continue to become accredited to work within Russia. A list of agencies, also members on the Joint Counsel on International Children’s Services, may be found on the JCICS website.
